Prior to joining the faculty at NYU Steinhardt, I managed the LSE-Fudan Global Public Policy Hub at the London School of Economics and Political Science and directed the Center for Russian Music at Goldsmiths College, University of London. My earlier career included management consultancy (Oliver Wyman and The Brattle Group) and fundraising for the London Symphony Orchestra. I hold a PhD and MA in Cultural Management and Music from Goldsmiths College and an MSc in Management and a BSc in Finance from the London School of Economics.
My research primarily investigates how the arts serve as vehicles for international diplomacy and cross-cultural bridging. I am very interested in the physicality and materiality of culture and the relationship between the symbolic and the bodily.
